Pastor Pamela Sheppard's teachings, centered on all truth's about the life, gospel, and inspirations from Jesus Christ of Nazareth; were so powerful and have left an unforgettable print. She is someone that was dear to me and resting in peace right now. Her memory and inspirations live on. An example of an important message she taught, is the expanding subject matter of the many ways evil spirits attack unsuspecting Christians.
Here is an excerpt written by Pastor Pamela Sheppard:
I have spent 3 decades learning how to discern good from evil where it comes to supernatural experiences like “hearing voices.” The bottom line is that “it ain’t easy.” Some would take a scripture out of its original context and retort, “Well the Lord said, my sheep hear my voice and the voice of a stranger, they will not follow.”
However, if we look back at who Jesus was talking to and why, we will come to understand that Jesus was talking to the children of Israel, the religious people of THAT day, who lived at the time of the Lord’s earthly ministry in His physical body. The Jews had all of the signs from the prophets. The Lord was saying to THEM, those who really belong to the Father will recognize that I am their long-awaited Messiah. Then the Lord makes a brief reference to us that when He calls us to Himself to be saved, we will know Him as well. Why? Because we were called by God before the worlds were even framed.
The Apostle John actually tells us in verse 6 that the Lord used these words as a parable and that the people who heard him did not understand what the Lord was talking about in that day. Nothing has changed today either. We use the scripture but we have no idea what the Lord was talking about. We have taken this verse to be a spiritual discernment verse when actually, it is not. In fact, the fake Jesus in our time has an extremely convincing voice that untold millions, perhaps billions have followed into a false conversion which I call a counterfeit birth. This is how it is done. Some have heard a voice say things to them like, “Come to me. You will find joy, peace and happiness.” Nothing about repentance, the sin, the cross or the Lord’s bodily resurrection is mentioned and so they “follow that voice,” claim themselves to be saved but they bear no fruit. In some cases, false converts are instantly healed of an addiction or a physical infirmity and they assume that their healing could only be the Lord, so they continue to follow the voice of the fake Jesus.
These kinds of false conversions are the most dangerous because its victims do not have a clue that they are not born again. Then there are those who asked Jesus to come into their hearts. Since the Son of God is seated at the right hand of His Father, He cannot come into our hearts. In fact, the heart is a part of the soul. God is a spirit. The Holy Ghost is Spirit. He comes into the spirits of a truly born again convert—not into the heart. So when such an invitation is made either through a sinner’s prayer either at the altar call, the invitation of Christian discipleship, and the sinner says “Jesus, come into my heart. I accept You,” the one who accepts the invitation is the fake Jesus. And in that way, some of God’s people have followed “the voice of a stranger.”

In the Old Testament, Supernatural occurrences are not an every day thing! Neither should voices! Moses was explaining to the children of Israel as he was leading them out of captivity, all that the Lord had provided them, including the Ten commandments. Moses said to the Israelites in Deuteronomy 4:11-12, "You came near and stood at the foot of the mountain while it blazed with fire to the very heavens, with black clouds and deep darkness. Then the Lord spoke to you out of the fire. You heard the sound of words but saw no form; there was only a voice." The voice of God, in scripture tends to connect with all that is Godly, obeying his commands, rejects sin, rejects lustful desires.
The voice of God often was about following the Lord and obeying his commands. The voice of God often referred to his truths, wisdoms, and warnings. His commands are revealed in Old Testament scripture like the Ten commandments and when miracles were performed that showed clearly God was with his people. There were also many times were the voice of God was provided to a prophet who revealed guidance when God was getting ready to provide an impactful change for his community.
Often times, throughout scripture, especially in the Old Testament, when the voice of the Lord God was heard, it was delivered in such a magnitude, with utmost seriousness, a mighty power, that at times included supernatural environmental occurrences. However, when evil spirits try to imitate the voice of God they can trick a person into thinking it is God. Here are some key things that can alert you that something is not quite right. God does not send you voices for the purpose/that cause you to be more anxious/worried, filled with despair, turn to sin, or turn away from Godliness. Evil spirits tend to do this when they send a voice to spiritually blind Christians.

In the New Testament, the voice of the son of God, relates to Jesus's teachings, and the power of Jesus Christ of Nazareth including victory over sin and death. In John 5:24, Jesus says, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

The scripture above highlights that the voice of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, has to do with hearing and believing his preaching, his life, and that he is the Son of God in human form. Understanding the voice of Jesus Christ of Nazareth requires faith which is provided by God and the Holy Spirit. The voice of the Lord, is not about every day needs, fulfilling all your wishes/desires, but instead, provides ultimate freedom of eternal life. So much that faith in the voice of Christ, will one day raise even a dead person to life! Persons once sinners, who have truly repented, get faith put in them about Jesus's crucifixion, and bodily resurrection, are guided to be born again believers in Jesus Christ of Nazareth, by the grace of God. Not done by the person. This scripture, among several others, show that true salvation in Christ is so powerful that it will bring about the resurrection of life for those who are now in the grave when the time comes!!!

Faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and all of his teachings brings life and breaks free from destruction that sin causes. Furthermore, in John 5:25-28, Jesus says, Verily, verily, I say unto you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; and hath given him authority to execute judgment also because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
